Ladyfest Budapest aims to promote the cultural empowerment of women in Hungary.

Ladyfest Budapest is an underground feminist music and arts festival for women artists and all or part-female formations. We aim to showcase bands and artists, build audiences and communities, and to create spaces of women’s solidarity. Events at the festival include concerts, artistic programs, performances, and thematic discussions and workshops.

The Ladyfests initiative was born in the American music scene in the 2000s to catalyze the cultural visibility of women. Since then, the original idea has spread far and wide, creating a unique, autonomous, international network of underground festivals.
